In Work – Training
Routes to Work South can provide you with additional training and support to help you sustain and progress in your employment. We organise and deliver training for hundreds of people every year. Be one of them.
Here are Routes to Work South, we strive to support clients getting into work and also, once they are in employment. As part of this, there is funding available that could support them in gaining qualifications or training that could help them sustain or move on in their current role.
Our main aim:
- To provide relevant training and qualifications that will upskill the client
- Improve their ability to sustain employment
- Enable them to work in other areas of work
In some cases this can lead to improved earnings potential.
We can work with former Routes to Work South Clients who are-
- Resident in South Lanarkshire
- Clients in a permanent post
- Clients with low or no qualifications.
Types of training:
We can provide a whole range of training up to, and including SVQ level 2. (ISED level 2) Some examples of training we have provided to date include:
SVQ’s in – Care, Hospitality, Catering, Business Admin, Beverage Service, Warehouse and Distribution, Plastering, Joinery, Childcare, Professional Cookery, Housekeeping
Industry recognised qualifications such as – Forklift, ADR, Sage, REHIS, PASMA, Asbestos Awareness, Site Management Safety, High pressure Jet Safety, CSCS & ECS cards, Chainsaw, Portable Appliance Testing, Pesticide Application Testing, Scaffolding.
